Mariposa Estate Group

FAQ

Common Questions

A few things families often ask before their first consultation.

Is Mariposa a medical or caregiving agency?

No. We're not a medical provider, a home health agency, or caregiving staff. We coordinate and oversee — working alongside physicians, home health providers, and caregivers you already trust, or helping you find ones who deserve that trust.

What areas do you serve?

We serve families in Santa Barbara, Montecito, Santa Ynez, and the surrounding communities.

Who is Mariposa for?

Families managing an aging parent's home from a distance, busy professionals who need household oversight, families with more than one property, and anyone who wants a single trusted relationship instead of a list of providers to manage.

How does a consultation work?

It's a private, no-obligation conversation to understand your family's specific situation and priorities. There's no sales pitch — just an honest discussion about whether we're the right fit.

What does it cost?

Every family's needs are different, so we build a plan, and a proposal, around your specific situation. We're happy to discuss details during your consultation.

Can you work with vendors and caregivers we already have?

Yes. We're glad to coordinate with providers you already trust, or help you find new ones when needed.

How is this different from a property manager?

A property manager typically looks after the house alone. Mariposa looks after the house, the person living in it, and the family who loves them — all through one relationship.

How quickly can we get started?

After your consultation, we'll build a plan tailored to your family, and can begin as soon as you're ready.
